Helping Hands with Hearts
is an organization of volunteers who are mostly retired men with skills
and experience in various aspects of home maintenance. These individuals have gotten together to devote some of their time and talents to making home repairs or improvements, usually at no cost, for needy individuals and families who otherwise would be unable to obtain them. Examples might be building a wheelchair ramp, replacing a porch railing, or repairing a water-damaged floor or a broken step.
Those in need of our services are referred to us by local agencies, welfare organizations, or nonprofit charities. Our estimators assess each proposed project, and if it is within our scope we then schedule the project, assign volunteers, gather the necessary materials, and do the work.
See our photo gallery of recently completed projects for samples of the kinds of things we are doing.
